Every effort has been made to assure that the MPM is compatible for users with various brands of computers, software, and internet access. Please take a moment to review the following system requirements.
FLASH PLAYER, VERSION 7.0 OR HIGHER
The video and computer-generated animation content of the MPM requires the installation of the Macromedia Flash Player, version 7.0 or higher. Earlier versions of the Flash Player may be able to play some, but not all, of the multimedia files included in the MPM. If you can see the animation to the right, the Flash Player 7 is installed. If you cannot see the animation, and you are not automatically prompted to download the player, please visit the Macromedia website and click on the "Download Flash Player" link to obtain a free copy.
OPERATING SYSTEM
The MPM has been designed for, and tested on, both Windows-based PC's and Macintosh computers.

The MPM has been tested on PC's running Internet Explorer 6.0, Netscape Navigator 7.1, and Opera 7.11; and on Macintosh's running Internet Explorer 5.0, Netscape Navigator 7.1, Mozilla 5.0, and Safari 1.o.1. If you are having problems with viewing the MPM, please download the most recent version of your browser of choice.
SCREEN RESOLUTION
A minimum screen resolution of 800x600 is required. The MPM is optimally viewed at 1024x768 or 1280x1024.
INTERNET CONNECTION
The Multimedia Procedure Manual is optimally viewed using a high-speed internet connection, such as an ISDN line, cable modem, or institutional access (e.g. T1 connection.) Users with a dial-up internet connection will require a minimum of a 56Kps connection to adequately view the multimedia content. Dial-up users may experience a delay during viewing the computer-generated animation sequences. Video content has links available for both high- and low-speed users. This links are to identical content; however, the low-speed versions are of lower resolution and quality compared to the high-speed versions.
